Group Chat is a powerful enhancement to the traditional one-on-one AI experience, offering a deeper, more dynamic way to interact with multiple characters at once. With group chat, you can create rich, shared scenarios involving up to 10 characters, weaving together their individual lore with a unified group narrative. Whether you're diving into thrilling storylines, building intense rivalries, exploring romance, or forming unbreakable bonds of brotherhood, the possibilities are as limitless as your imagination. This feature opens the door to complex relationships, layered dialogue, and unforgettable drama, allowing you to shape a world that reacts and evolves with every message. Each character brings their personality and perspective into the conversation, making every group chat a unique blend of tension, emotion, and fun. It’s an immersive tool designed for users who want to go beyond the surface and explore richer, more compelling character dynamics. Below, we’ll walk you through each unique part of the group chat system and how it differs from the standard one-on-one setup—so you can take full advantage of this enhanced storytelling experience instantly.

The Inbox is your central place to view all your group conversations with AI characters. Each group shows a main photo on the left — either the primary character’s image or a custom group photo if you’ve uploaded one. Next to it, you’ll see the group name along with small thumbnails of every character included in that group, giving you a quick overview at a glance. Whenever you or any character sends a new message, that group will automatically move to the top of your inbox, making sure you never miss an active conversation.

Located at the top of your chat window, the Interaction Bar displays the group’s name prominently, alongside the roster of characters currently in the group. You’ll also see either the group photo or the lead character’s photo here. On the right side, the Main Character Menu gives you easy access to group settings and useful options, so you can quickly manage or customize your group with most of the premium features and tools offered in our regular one-on-one chat.

The message field is where you type your messages. By typing “@”, you’ll open a list of all group members, allowing you to tag specific characters and direct your message to them individually. This makes conversations feel more natural and personal. You can also remove any character from the group using the “X” button on any character currently in the group. Plus, in the top right corner of the message field, there’s an Edit Group button, which lets you easily update your group’s details, add or remove members, or tweak the scenario whenever you want.

Creating a group is straightforward and user-friendly. You can give your group a unique name and write a scenario up to 1000 characters long — this sets the overall story or theme that all characters will follow, blended with their individual backstories. You may upload a group photo that will replace the default lead character’s image across the chat for a consistent visual identity. Each group can hold up to 10 characters, and you can modify the membership anytime after the group is created, giving you full flexibility to shape your conversations.

The Edit Group feature offers the same options as the Create Group popup, allowing you to update the group’s name, scenario, photo, and roster. Keep in mind that major changes — such as drastically altering the scenario or swapping out multiple characters — can make the group’s story feel less cohesive. It’s best to use this feature thoughtfully to maintain the flow and continuity of your conversations.

This page lists all your active group chats in one convenient location. To access this inbox, you must have at least one active group chat. If you don’t have any groups yet, you’ll be prompted to create one right away. Should you delete your last remaining group chat, the system will automatically redirect you back to your individual chats inbox, keeping your experience seamless and organized.

Within the Group Profile panel, you’ll see the group photo at the top if one was uploaded; otherwise, the leading character’s photo will appear here. Directly below the photo, you’ll find four quick action links: create a new group (which does not affect your current group), edit the existing group, delete the group entirely, or restart the group to begin fresh (which deletes the current group chat). Below these links, the full character roster is displayed with each character’s name, photo (clickable for a high-resolution view), and the short character description to help you keep track of everyone involved.

Group chat features are exclusively available to users with an advanced or elite subscription. Without this subscription, group chat functions cannot be accessed or used. Supporting the platform through a subscription unlocks full group chat capabilities, allowing you to create, manage, and customize group conversations with any and all of our AI characters.
